Something nice and unexpected.

Was at "My cafe" Tuesday evening enjoying an end of the day glass of wine. One of the waitresses I speak with a lot, came up to me with a smile and said, I have something for you.

In a short while, she came back and presented me with a small box, filled with home-made Holiday cookies, and said, "this is from ___ & me, we made them for You, because when you are here you brighten our days here, Thank you."

I was deeply touched.

I am only being myself when I am there,
just as I am usually, most days that I breath.

so this was just...nice... and quite unexpected.

One, One, One One 1/1/11; returning to Praha

One, One, One One.
What a Calendar Date!
Only happens once a lifetime!

It was a really nice stay, back Home for these past 2 weeks. A Nice Christmas and wonderful to share time with my two Children, my family and many friends.

So I am off once again, trying to get back to Prague. A long day ahead, but one I have done many times before.

Looking forward to Returning: Seeing friends. Teaching. Enjoying a morning Cappuccino or (an) evening glass(es) of wine at "My cafe". Sharing with friends/students some of what I am bringing back with me. Maybe building a snowman in Petrin or Kampa. Perhaps making a pan of Lasagna for a Friend, I don't know...But I do know I will certainly be enjoying The Ambiance of Prague at all levels and, of course, enjoying many other aspects of The Life I Live in Prague. Cheers.

Silvestr

A Happy New Year!
Grant that I May bring no tear to any eye,

When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,

Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a Happy Year.

New Years Eve Rochester Weather Forecast

Today's weather forecast for Rochester calls for clear skies and temperatures in the high 40's F or close to 8 C. A huge difference from last weekend. Yesterday was the first time in over two weeks that temps have risen above freezing.

Update: It is now 50 F (10 C)at Noon. Wonderful. And the snow is starting to melt away. One can see grass everywhere.

Evening Update: A gloriously warm day. Like a Spring Day. Believe or not, most of the snow has melted and IS GONE! Unbelievable.
