Major Winter Storm - Prague & Everywhere in CZ

A snowflake is one of God's most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together! ~ Anon.

It has been snowing here in Prague since Friday morning and keeps coming. The city is a vast Winter Wonderland, with piles of snow everywhere. The cobblestones are very slippery so one takes deliberate steps. The streets are covered with Snow, and brown slush...as they use a combination of dirt, tiny stones and salt on the roads.

The forecast is for more Snow today and tomorrow with a respite for Tuesday. It is pretty, and Wintry. Cold, Blowing Snow but the Trams are unaffected so far, and buses seem to be running fine as well.

Most of the country has been paralyzed with this storm, with Hrádec Kralové to the East of Prague being hit very hard, as well as the mountain regions to the Far Eastern part of the Czech Republic.
