I was reminded today, that on the first Wednesday of EVERY month at noon, they test the Air Raid Sirens here in Prague, (Yes, Really!) for a FULL Four minutes. They Work! Really an interesting experience. And after it is finally over, it is then they tell the whole City over loadspeakers, that all is clear and this was just a test. Ach!!
On these Wednesdays, One can get a real sense of what it must have been like here under Communism during the Cold War and also what Europe must have sounded like during the Second World War. It really is an amazing experience.
