LN: Foreigners outside EU not to get work permit in ČR
"Prague, March 10 (CTK) - The Czech labour offices will halt the issuance of work permits to foreigners from the countries outside the European Union, the daily Lidove noviny (LN) reports Wednesday. The situation of the foreigners who have already been working in the Czech Republic will also become considerably more difficult".
This headline is a bit ominous, since one must have a work permit, in order to obtain a visa, however, there is some wording further down in the article that this would apply more to workers from the Ukraine, Moldova, Vietnam and Mongolia. However, it leaves many issues unanswered.
I feel confident it will not adversely effect Americans, especially Native speaking English teachers, since we are a needed commodity. ;-)
