V-E day; Commenoration of Victory in Europe 65 years ago

Today, May 18th, is V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day) or just Victory Day as it is called over here.

Interesting, the Russians Date of the End of the war is 9 May...and while the Czech Republic was under the rule of Communism, they had to officially celebrate the end of World War II on May 9th, until THEIR revolution in November the 1989, when they could finally celebrate the Real V-E date along with their Real freedom.
