August. We wait all summer for the month of August and Sweet Corn. Corn on the Cob! It is found in the markets and along road side stands. It is one of the highlights of August.
The corn pictured here is called "sugar & cream" and it was as sweet as candy. Roll it while pipin' hot, on a fresh stick of creamery butter and sprinkle a bit of salt over it. Wow. And It was so tender, it was like it melted in your mouth. Mnam!!
