"Big" Increase in Monthly Pensions over here....

Govt raises average pension by CZK 371 as of January

"Prague, Sept 29 (CTK) - The average monthly pension in the Czech Republic is to rise by 371 crowns, or by 3.66 percent, to 10,494 crowns as of January 2011, which is the minimal indexation set by law, the government agreed Wednesday, Prime Minister Petr Necas has told reporters."

371 crowns (per month) is equal to: $20.53
The monthly pension amount of 10,494 is equal to: $580.61

I have no idea how anyone over here could live on that amount of Monthly Pension.
