Many Czechs are enamored with the American West. The morning news show I watch each day recently(June) filmed the days broadcast from a "Frontier Town" type vacation destination for families and as you can see, the two main news anchors dressed in costume.
They interviewed a "gun slinger" and the town "sheriff", and camera man panned around the town showing children and their parents enjoying the goings on. I thought it interesting, but then thought...
...American children(and adults) also have a fascination with Castles and Knights(...and Dragons).
It is no different anywhere, interest in the type of history that is non-existent in one's own country and in making it fun.
