Czech population reaches 10.515 million in first half of 2010
The population of the Czech Republic rose by 9,000 inhabitants in the first half of the year and now stands at 10.515 million, the Czech Statistical Office said Monday.
A total of 58,200 babies were born in the Czech Republic in the first half of 2010 and 52,500 people died.
Compared to the first half of 2009, the birth rate dropped by 259 and the death rate by 2400.
